Website Copywriting Proposal Template
In SendScope under Writing & Content, as Website Copywriting
Copy is the easiest service to underquote, because the writing is the small part. The research, the voice work and the four rounds of internal stakeholder opinion are the job, and none of it is visible in a per-word rate.
This template is priced by page with the word count and the revision rounds stated, which makes the shape of the work legible. The top tier adds the thing that actually prevents rework: a messaging framework agreed before any page is drafted, so the feedback that comes back is about the writing rather than about what the business is.
A note on the single-page tier, because it is the one people misuse. It exists for a landing page or a replacement home page, not as a way to buy a site one page at a time. If a client wants the whole site in weekly instalments, the full website tier priced as a whole is the one that will not hurt you.

Scope of Work
Terms
These terms cover the work you approve on this page.
- Scope. The pieces, their length and the rounds of revision are those described above.
- Payment. The deposit shown on this page is paid on approval and the balance when the final draft is delivered.
- Revisions. A round is one consolidated set of feedback rather than one change. Rounds beyond those included, and a change of direction after a draft is approved, are quoted before the work is done.
- Your part. Background, access to people to interview and feedback come from you. Time lost waiting moves the delivery date.
- Research and accuracy. Facts, claims and figures you supply are taken as correct. Final sign off for accuracy and for any regulated claim is yours.
- Ownership. Copyright in the delivered words passes to you once the balance is paid. Until then the work stays mine. I keep the right to describe the project in my portfolio unless you ask me in writing not to.
- Cancellation. If you cancel after work has started, you are charged for the work completed to that point and receive it as it stands.
Approving this page records that you accepted this scope, this price and these terms.

SendScope records this approval. It is not a party to your agreement and does not verify identity, authority or enforceability.
How it gets paid
Deposit, then balance
50% is due when the client approves, and the balance when you mark the work delivered. Both payments happen on the same link the proposal is on.
Card or bank transfer, and you choose which per deal. If you want a package to bill every month instead of once, you set that on the package itself when you build the deal, and the client can cancel it from their own link.
Prices in the preview are a starting point in Australian dollars. Change the figures, the inclusions and the number of packages to suit what you sell.
The starting terms in the preview are a starting point, not legal advice. Read them, change what does not match how you work, and have a lawyer look at them if the work is large enough to warrant it. Your own default terms in Settings replace these automatically.

What to change first
The parts of this template most likely to be wrong for you.
- The word counts, which are deliberately conservative here
- Whether SEO keyword research is included or comes from the client's own specialist
- How many stakeholders can give feedback, which is the real cost driver
- The prices, which sit at the lower end on purpose
