Consulting Proposal Template
In SendScope under Consulting & Coaching, as Business Strategy Consulting
Consulting is sold in three shapes and most consultants only quote one of them. This template puts all three on one page: a single session for someone testing whether the conversation is worth having, a fixed engagement with a document at the end, and a monthly retainer for a client who needs access rather than a deliverable.
Putting them side by side does something a single quote cannot. The client self-selects, and the one who was going to ask for a free chat picks the paid session instead, because it is sitting right there at a price that makes saying yes easy.
Every tier is paid in full when the client approves, which is standard for advisory work and is what the deposit is set to here. The ongoing tier is priced per month, and whether that charges once or every month until the client cancels is something you choose on the package when you build the deal.

Scope of Work
Terms
These terms cover the engagement you approve on this page.
- Scope. The objective, the deliverables and the sessions are those described above. Work outside them is agreed and quoted before it starts.
- Payment. The deposit shown on this page is paid on approval. The balance, or each instalment, follows as set out above.
- Sessions. Sessions are booked by agreement. A session cancelled with less than 24 hours notice counts as held, and I will always try to reschedule first.
- Your part. The work depends on information, access and decisions from you. Time lost waiting moves the dates.
- What is promised. I bring the method, the analysis and the recommendations. No particular commercial result is promised, because the outcome depends on what you do with them.
- Confidentiality. What you share stays confidential, and I will not name you as a client without your permission.
- Cancellation and refunds. Either of us may end the engagement in writing. You are charged for work already done, and anything paid for and not yet delivered is refunded. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Approving this page records that you accepted this scope, this price and these terms.

How it gets paid
Paid in full on approval
This template asks for the whole amount when the client approves, which is how advisory and ongoing work is usually sold. The payment happens on the same link the proposal is on.
Card or bank transfer, and you choose which per deal. If you want a package to bill every month instead of once, you set that on the package itself when you build the deal, and the client can cancel it from their own link.
Prices in the preview are a starting point in Australian dollars. Change the figures, the inclusions and the number of packages to suit what you sell.
The starting terms in the preview are a starting point, not legal advice. Read them, change what does not match how you work, and have a lawyer look at them if the work is large enough to warrant it. Your own default terms in Settings replace these automatically.
Before you send it
What to change first
The parts of this template most likely to be wrong for you.
- The session lengths, which should match how you actually work
- What the strategy document is, since this is the deliverable clients judge
- Whether email support between sessions is included and how much of it
- The prices, which are set low enough to be a starting point for a generalist
