Video Production Proposal Template
In SendScope under Video & Audio, as Corporate Video Production
Video quotes go wrong in the edit. The shoot is a known quantity, one day or two, and then the revision requests arrive from people who were not in the room when the brief was agreed, each of them wanting one small change.
So the tiers here are built on two numbers: shoot days and revision rounds. The interview tier is a half day and one round. The brand film is a full day, multi-camera, with a colour grade and two rounds. The campaign tier is two shoot days and three to five finished videos, which is the shape most agencies actually buy.
Forty per cent is due on approval, which covers the crew and the gear you have to commit before any footage exists, and the balance before the final files are released. The starting terms say that music and stock licensing is passed on at cost, which is the line item that most often turns a profitable job into a break-even one.

Scope of Work
Terms
These terms cover the production you approve on this page.
- The booking. The deposit shown on this page holds the shoot date and is not refunded if you cancel, because the date is then reserved for you.
- Payment. The balance is paid before the final files are delivered.
- What you receive. The deliverables, their length, the formats and the number of cuts are those described above. Raw footage and project files are not included and can be quoted separately.
- Revisions. The rounds of revision included are listed above. A round is one consolidated set of notes. Further rounds, or changes after the final cut is approved, are quoted before they are done.
- Music and stock. Licensed music, stock footage and voice talent are charged as quoted and licensed for the use described above.
- Use of the work. You may use the delivered work for the platforms, territory and period described above. Wider use is quoted separately. I keep the right to show the work in my portfolio unless you ask me in writing not to.
- On the day. Location access, permissions and the people appearing on camera are arranged by you unless stated above.
- Cancellation. If you cancel, you are charged for work already done and costs already committed.
Approving this page records that you accepted this scope, this price and these terms.

SendScope records this approval. It is not a party to your agreement and does not verify identity, authority or enforceability.
How it gets paid
Deposit, then balance
40% is due when the client approves, and the balance when you mark the work delivered. Both payments happen on the same link the proposal is on.
Card or bank transfer, and you choose which per deal. If you want a package to bill every month instead of once, you set that on the package itself when you build the deal, and the client can cancel it from their own link.
Prices in the preview are a starting point in Australian dollars. Change the figures, the inclusions and the number of packages to suit what you sell.
The starting terms in the preview are a starting point, not legal advice. Read them, change what does not match how you work, and have a lawyer look at them if the work is large enough to warrant it. Your own default terms in Settings replace these automatically.

What to change first
The parts of this template most likely to be wrong for you.
- The shoot days, which is the number that drives everything else
- The revision rounds, and whether a round means one consolidated set of notes
- Who supplies the talent, the location and the permits
- Social cuts and aspect ratios, which clients now assume are included
